Originally built in the 1860s, Chara underwent a complete refurbishment in 2024, seamlessly blending over 160 years of heritage with modern comfort. Adding to its distinctive charm, the house is adorned with local furnishings that trace a timeline of design evolution—from the refined elegance of Louis XV style to the grandeur of late 19th-century Henry II, and culminating in the sleek sophistication of French Art Deco from the 1920s and 1930s. The true gem of Chara, however, lies in its exquisitely painted ceilings, gracing two floors and the grand staircase. These artistic masterpieces imbue the home with the glamour and allure reminiscent of the French and Italian Riviera, nestled in the heart of the authentic Provençal village of Alleins.
